Pricing
Published rates, quoted scope, no surprises
Our standard rate is $250 per hour. Most businesses do better on a commitment, and we would rather tell you that up front than after you have signed.
Three ways to work with us
For businesses that need us occasionally and want no commitment at all.
- Two hour minimum billed per call, remote or onsite
- $125 travel charge on any onsite visit
- No monthly fee, no contract
- Scheduled response, not guaranteed
- Projects quoted at a fixed price instead
Prepay a block of hours and draw them down. The larger the block, the lower the effective rate.
- Discount rises with block size
- No two hour minimum, billed to the quarter hour
- Priority ahead of on demand work
- Hours valid for twelve months
- Balance reported monthly, no guessing
- Unused time carries into a renewal
The lowest effective rate, and the only tier with a response guarantee. Most of our clients are here.
- 15 minute response during business hours
- After hours emergency response included
- Unlimited help desk, no per ticket charge
- 24/7 monitoring, patching and reporting
- Security stack: MFA, EDR, filtering, training
- Backup management and tested restores
- Quarterly review and roadmap
How the numbers usually land
Why almost nobody stays hourly
A business of twenty people generates more support demand than owners expect. On demand work carries a two hour minimum per call and a $125 travel charge when we come to you, so a single onsite visit starts at $625 before anything complicated happens. A handful of those puts you well past what a flat agreement would have cost, and none of that spend bought you monitoring, patching, security tooling or a tested backup.
The agreement is not cheaper because we discount the work. It is cheaper because prevention costs less than response, and because predictable work lets us schedule properly.
| What you are buying | On demand |
|---|---|
| Reactive fixes when something breaks | $250/hr |
| Minimum billed per call | Two hours |
| Travel charge for an onsite visit | $125 |
| Monitoring, patching and reporting | Not included |
| Security stack and staff training | Not included |
| Tested backups and recovery plan | Not included |
| Guaranteed response time | Not included |
| Named engineers who know your network | Not included |
Every row marked not included is standard in a managed agreement. That is the real comparison, and it is the reason the hourly column looks cheaper than it is.
What is always quoted separately
- Hardware and licensing, at cost plus a stated margin you can see on the quote
- Projects: office moves, migrations, new server builds, cabling and rollouts, at a fixed price with the exclusions written down
- After hours work outside the emergency response included in your agreement
- Anything genuinely new, quoted before it happens rather than appearing on an invoice
What never happens
- An hourly estimate that quietly climbs while the scope stays the same
- A change order you find out about at invoice time
- Files, licences or credentials held in our name so leaving is painful
- Work sent to a subcontractor or offshore without telling you

Questions about pricing
Why publish rates at all?
Because you are going to ask, and a provider who will not answer until the third meeting is usually managing the number rather than the work. Publishing it means the businesses who call us already know roughly what we cost.
Why is there a minimum and a travel charge?
Because a short onsite call is never short for us. Scheduling it, driving there, and picking up whatever we were doing afterwards costs the same whether the fix takes ten minutes or ninety. The two hour minimum and the $125 travel charge cover that honestly, rather than being hidden in an inflated hourly rate. Managed clients pay neither.
Does the minimum apply to remote work too?
Yes, the two hour minimum applies to any on demand call. The $125 travel charge applies only when we come to your site. If a problem turns out to be a five minute fix, we will tell you, and we will usually spend the rest of the time on something else useful while we are there.
Is the hourly rate negotiable?
The rate is $250. What is negotiable is the commitment. Block hours and monthly agreements both buy the same engineers at a lower effective rate, with no minimum and no travel charge, because predictable work is cheaper for us to deliver and we pass that on.
What is a flat monthly agreement priced on?
User count and device count, plus the complexity of your environment: servers, sites, compliance load and after hours needs. We quote after the assessment, never before, because a number produced without looking at your environment is a guess and guesses get corrected upward later.
Do block hours expire?
Twelve months from purchase. We will tell you when a block is running low rather than letting you discover it, and unused time carries into a renewal if you buy another block.
What is not included in a monthly agreement?
Hardware and licensing, which we supply at cost plus a stated margin you can see. Projects such as office moves, migrations and new server builds, which are quoted at a fixed price before they start. Anything genuinely new gets quoted, never invoiced as a surprise.
Is there a minimum?
Practically, managed agreements make sense from around five users. Below that, block hours are usually the better value and we will tell you so.
Do you require a long term contract?
No. Month to month is available at the standard rate, and twelve or twenty four month commitments earn a lower one. You keep your documentation and credentials either way, so nothing traps you.
