Most businesses call us when

Nobody shops for an IT provider. Something happens first.

  • Their cyber insurance renewal asks for controls they cannot evidence
  • Their current provider stopped answering, got acquired, or retired
  • A server, a backup, or an entire morning failed without warning
  • A client or an auditor sent a security questionnaire they cannot answer
  • The person who "handles the computers" left, and nobody replaced them
  • They are growing, and what worked at eight people does not work at thirty

If one of those just happened, start with the free assessment. If none have, it is still the cheapest way to find out where you stand.

The problem we exist to fix

Most IT does not fail loudly. It fails quietly, for months.

The backup that has been running every night for two years and has never once been restored. The security agent that stopped reporting in March. The laptop nobody enrolled. The admin account belonging to somebody who left in 2023.

None of it announces itself. It surfaces on the worst possible day, or in the questions an insurer asks after a claim, or in the evidence an auditor wants and nobody can produce.

We work the other way around. Everything gets documented, everything gets tested on a schedule, and you get the proof in writing rather than the assurance in conversation.

What a report looks like

  • MFA enforced, all usersVerified
  • EDR on endpoints and serversVerified
  • Backups: offsite copy presentNever restore tested
  • Legacy authentication enabledAction required
  • Local admin rights, 6 usersReview
  • Patch cadence, 30 daysVerified
  • No written incident response planAction required

A sample from a network and security assessment. Every finding maps to a control an insurer, an auditor or a client will eventually ask you about.

Technologies we support every day

We are not generalists guessing at these. Each one is in production across our client base, and each has a named engineer who owns it.

The pod model

A named team, not a ticket queue

Orcas travel in small permanent family groups. They do not hunt alone and they do not swap members between jobs. Neither do we.

Every client gets a pod: a named lead engineer and a named backup, assigned to your business. They learn your network and stay with it. Documentation lives with the pod rather than in one person's head, so nobody rediscovers your printer VLAN twice.

Escalation runs from tier one to tier two to the network or security lead, inside the same building in Gilbert. Nothing hands off to a third party, because there is no third party.

How it works

From first call to fully covered

  1. A real conversation

Not a discovery questionnaire. What is broken, how many people you have, what you spend now. Fifteen minutes, no pitch deck.

  2. The assessment

We review your network, endpoints, servers, Microsoft 365 tenant, backups and security posture, then hand you the findings in writing. Free, and yours to keep.

  3. Plan and price

A flat monthly number, a fix first list ranked by risk and cost, and a clear line between what is included and what is a project.

  4. Onboard

Your pod deploys monitoring, patching and security tooling, documents everything, and meets your staff so they know who to call.

Four promises

Checkable before you spend a dollar

  • Never outsourced. Every hour worked by our own team in the United States.
  • You own everything. Files, credentials, licensing and documentation in your name from day one.
  • Honest first. If your budget is better spent elsewhere, we will say so.
  • Fixed price on projects. One number and one scope agreed before work starts, exclusions written down too.

Straight answers

The questions owners ask first

What does managed IT cost?

Our standard rate is $250 per hour, with a two hour minimum per call and a $125 travel charge for onsite visits. Most businesses do not buy hours, they buy coverage: a flat monthly agreement has no minimum, no travel charge, and lands well below the hourly rate per ticket. Prepaid block hours sit in between. Full detail is on the pricing page.

How fast do you respond?

15 minutes during business hours for clients on a managed agreement, with after hours emergency response included. You reach your pod directly, which is a named lead engineer and a named backup who already know your network, so there is no queue and nothing to explain from scratch.

Do you outsource or offshore any work?

No. Every engineer is our own employee in the United States. Not one ticket has gone to a third party contractor or an overseas provider. Ask for the name of the person who would handle your account and expect to meet them before you sign anything.

We already have an IT provider. Is the assessment still worth doing?

Most of the businesses that book it do have one. If your current provider has everything in place, the report says so in writing, which is useful evidence when a carrier or a client asks. If there are gaps, you get a specific list to take to them. We will tell you plainly when the honest answer is that you do not need us.

What happens to our data and passwords if we leave?

You own all of it from day one. Documentation, credentials, licensing and configuration are registered in your name, not held in ours. If you ever leave, you take everything and nothing stops working. A number of the businesses that call us are calling precisely because they cannot get their own information back from somebody else.

What size business do you work with?

Roughly five to two hundred people, across the East Valley. Big enough that downtime and compliance genuinely cost money, small enough that we can talk to the person who actually decides.
