Veterinary Practices ยท Gilbert, AZ
Same uptime pressure as human medicine, a fraction of the IT budget
A veterinary practice runs imaging, practice management, payments and a full appointment book on infrastructure usually sized for a small office.
What we hear most
The problems that bring veterinary practices to us
- Practice management software that slows to a crawl by mid morning
- Digital radiography and ultrasound competing with everything else on one flat network
- Backups covering documents but not the practice management database
- Client payment data handled on a network nobody has reviewed for PCI exposure
- One server, out of warranty, running the whole hospital
What we put in place, and evidence
- Practice management database backupRestore tested
- Imaging traffic segmentedVLAN separated
- MFA on Microsoft 365 and remote accessEnforced
- Endpoint detectionDeployed
- Payment environment reviewedPCI scope documented
- Server lifecycle planBudgeted
- Staff security awareness trainingCompletion records
- Incident response planWritten
Every control produces a document, a report or a log. When a carrier, an auditor or a client asks whether you have it, the answer is a file rather than a conversation.
What we support
- Practice management: Cornerstone, AVImark, ezyVet, Covetrus and the databases underneath them
- Digital radiography, ultrasound and imaging storage, sized properly for the traffic
- Network and wireless across exam rooms, treatment, surgery and boarding
- Payment processing environments and the PCI questions that come with them
- Microsoft 365, client communications and reminder systems
Changing providers
Switching without losing a day
Cutover happens outside your working hours. Nothing that touches a server happens while you are trying to operate.
We document before we change anything. Your network gets mapped, credentials inventoried and licensing verified while your current provider is still in place.
You own everything from day one. Documentation, passwords, licences and configuration registered in your name. If you ever leave us, you take all of it and nothing stops working.
We own the vendor calls. Your software vendors, your ISP, your phone provider. That is our job, not your office manager's.

Straight answers
Questions veterinary practices ask first
Our practice software slows down every morning. Is that fixable?
Almost always, and it is usually not the software. The common causes are a database that has never been maintained, a server short on memory or running on aging drives, or antivirus scanning the database files. An assessment identifies which.
Do you work with our practice management vendor?
Yes. We keep the environment, database and backups healthy and own the escalation to the vendor when the fix is theirs.
Are we subject to HIPAA?
Generally not for animal patient records, though the picture changes where you handle human client data, payment information or employee health records. What matters practically is that the security controls are the same either way, and your payment environment does carry obligations.
We are a single doctor practice. Is this affordable?
Yes. Flat monthly pricing scales with your user and device count. Our hourly rate is $250 for anyone who prefers to stay on demand, and we will tell you honestly which is cheaper for your usage.
